Technology provides some superb opportunities for engaging students in oral language development in meanginful ways .
At the end of this course you will be able to use a variety of technologies to develop oral langauge in the classroom. See modules below for an overview of skills development.
Participants will need to have access to a smart phone, laptop or tablet. Options for submitting your course work are as flexible as creating a presentation about the content – lack of access to specific technology at home isn’t, and shouldn’t, be a barrier to accessing training.
Approximately 20 hours
Each module includes hands-on activities providing participants with fun opportunities to practise the basic skills. These activities will be shared with the course e-tutor as a key part of your assessment.
Participants will keep a reflective journal and engage in a discussion forum with peers and their e-tutor. They will use the notes from the journal and their discussions to evaluate their school’s use of digital technologies and create some basic plans for where the skills learned during this course will be implemented in the school in the coming school year.
